01-08-1996· The results of bench-scale testing of five flotation processes for the separation of dolomite from phosphate are discussed. Each process is compared in terms of phosphate recovery, MgO content of the concentrate and reagent consumption. Water quality was found to play a major role in the performance of these processes.
Conventional flotation scheme is not successful for separation of dolomite from its mixture with apatite. Several processing methods utilizing both anionic and cationic collectors have been proposed to solve this problem, but they have yet to be tested on a commercial scale.
A reverse flotation process for removing alkaline earth metal carbonate impurities particularly dolomite and calcite as the cell overflow from a flotation feed reagentized with water, a carbonate collector, a phosphate depressant and a pH regulator to about 20-30% solids and a pH of about 5.5-6.0. The phosphate concentrate is collected as the cell underflow.

02-08-2021· For the reverse flotation of phosphate ore, a high amount of sulfuric acid is required. In this study, we used NaF as a flotation activator to separate dolomite and fluorapatite to reduce acid consumption in the flotation process. Both single and actual mineral flotations were conducted.
06-10-2018· Micro-flotation of pure minerals with fatty acids and amines Flotation of dolomite and apatite using fatty acids. In the system CaO-P 2 O 5-H 2 O system, the passage from the basic and neutral medium to the acid medium of less than 6, the solubility of the phosphate increases from 0.003 to 0.15 g/L (Shuvalova and Ratobilskaya 1984).
The invention discloses a flotation separation method of barite and dolomite, which comprises the following steps: (1) grinding the dolomite and barite mixed ore sample by a grinding machine, wherein the grinding concentration is 30% -35%, and the grinding fineness is as follows: -0.074mm accounts for 75% -85%; (2) adding an inhibitor and a collecting agent into the ore …
the foregoing, it can be realized that the flotation processes to recover phosphate from the calcareous rock need to be improved. In this concept, the major objective of this study was to understand the flotation behavior of collophane and dolomite as single minerals using oleic acid as a collector and cellulase enzyme, which was not affected
20-01-2021· The Froth Flotation Process is about taking advantage of the natural hydrophobicity of liberated (well ground) minerals/metals and making/playing on making them hydrophobic (water-repel) individually to carefully separate them from one another and the slurry they are in. For this purpose we use chemicals/reagents: Frothers (MIBC) is what allows the …

Direct flotation of dolomite can be achieved by using different collectors [12,32,41]. Sodium oleate as an anionic collector is the most popular collector used for floating dolomite; however, its selectivity is low, and it is highly sensitive to water hardness and flotation temperature [37,38].

01-12-2021· In this study, the effects of common ions, especially Ca 2+, on the reverse flotation of fluorapatite and dolomite in acidic conditions with NaOL collector were investigated using micro-flotation, zeta potential, contact angle, adsorption analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and density functional theory-based first …
11-01-2019· The surface features of fluorapatite (FA, Ca5(PO4)3F) and dolomite (CaMg(CO3)2) conditioned with sulfuric acid (H2SO4) were examined through flotation experiments, contact angle tests, time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS), and FTIR experiments. The flotation and contact angle results suggested that oleate …
